Nov.18-2013 Formosa Queen, the 22,945 gross ton cruise liner that started life in 1970 as Song of Norway, has been reportedly been sold for scrap in China, reports in the shipping media

History:

April 5 -2012 The Ocean Pearl, which was on charter to Happy Cruises until September 2011, and which has been laid-up in Tilbury since then, available for sale or charter, has been sold. The vessel will be delivered mid-April 2012 to its Taiwan-based Far Eastern buyers. ISP has been contracted, on behalf of the buyers, to position the vessel to a Far Eastern shipyard, where it will undergo an interior upgrade to a five star luxury vessel prior to entering the cruise market in that region.

June 2012-The luxury cruise ship Formosa Queen is to be operated by a Taiwanese shipping firm which was founded in April this year.

Acquired by Tumaco Nav.Comp. end of 2004 as Sundream after activities of Airtours/Sun are ceased on april 15-2004.Renamed in Dream Princess.  After comments of Princess Cruises shortly after renamed in Dream.
Acquired by Pearl Owner Ltd. (Clipper Group) in nov.- 2007.The vessel has been positioned to Turkey, where she will spend the next four to five months being upgraded, and will be ready for charter to Japan PEACE BOAT ORGANISATION by April/May 2008 Due to many technical problems Peace Boat organisation ended charter contract nov. 2008

September 26 - 2011, ISP ( Manager) was unexpectedly informed that Quail/ Happy Cruises, charterers of the cruise vessels Gemini and the Ocean Pearl, would cease operation and cancel all remaining cruises for the 2011 season. Based on this, the Gemini and the Ocean Pearl have been untimely redelivered by the charterers and are therefore immediately available for sale or charter. The two vessels were in full operation in the Mediterranean; are fully classed; SOLAS-approved and ready for trading. Laid - up
