|Sept. 2017 Carnival Corporation have announced that the Golden Princess will transfer from Princess Cruises to P&O-Australia in 2020 instead of Carnival Splendor which was set to transfer to P&O Australia in late 2019, which will now stay with the Carnival Cruise Line brand.|
April 18 - 2009 TheGolden Princess arrives at the Graving Dock of Victoria Shipyards in Esquimalt. The ship's casino is changing decks and other work includes 30 more passenger cabins. New features, including a new piazza-style atrium, an adults-only Sanctuary, a Movies Under the Stars poolside movie screen, a new Crown Grill steak and seafood restaurant, and a variety of other enhancements.The Golden Princess leaves the yard on May 5.
