|January 30-2007 Hurtigruten vessel NORDKAPP stranded on a submerged embankment near Deception Island in the South Shetland archipelago with 294 passengers and 76 crew today. Sister ship NORDNORGE has arrived to transfer the stranded passengers back to Ushuaia, Argentina, awaiting smoother seas for the tendering process. There were no injuries and the NORDKAPP is reportedly in no danger of sinking.|
