Original ordered by parent company Star Cruises - Malaysia as a Libra class ship. After some modifications the ship was able to used as NCL's Freestyle cruising concept. A new trend in the cruise world is to paint artwork on the hull of the ship. After Aida and -A'rosa ships. The Norwegian Dawn is the first newbuild NCL ship with artwork on the hull. The hull artwork is designed by Graphic Designer Keith Allen.
