July 31-2008 - 42 passengers have received medical attention after PACIFIC SUN was hit by severe weather, experienced  7 metre swells and 50 knot winds causing her to roll sharply  just before 8 pm last night. The ship was en route to Auckland following an eight day cruise in the South Pacific, and is now holding its position about 540 kilometres north east of New Zealand.

March 12 -2010 The Pacific Sun departed late for her current cruise and apparently is now sailing on a single engine at a much reduced speed towards Vila. The captain has been unable to advise how long the ship will be in Vila or what is happening to the remainder of the current itinerary or the next cruise. There are also apparently significant air conditioning issues that has meant no airconditioning to parts of the ship though this fault has been around for over 3 weeks and is yet to be rectified.
