depart Regent fleet in January 2010
Next year will be the Farewell Season for the 332-guest luxury cruise ship Paul Gauguin, which will depart the Regent Seven Seas fleet in January 2010 upon completion of the current management agreement with Paul Gauguin Shipping Limited (PGSL), the owners of the vessel. In 2010 she operates under Paul Gauguin Cruises banner.
|Aug.18-2009 French Polynesia’s Pacific Beachcomber resort group has acquired Paul Gauguin Cruises. The group, which owns four Inter-Continental resorts and is developing The Brando eco-resort.Terms of the sale were not disclosed. Paul Gauguin was owned by a company controlled by Hank Lewis of Vantage Travel, with management of the ship transitioning to Paul Gauguin Cruises from Regent Seven Seas Cruises over the past year.|
Gauguin is scheduled for drydock work in January that will include the
addition of balconies to 23 staterooms.The ship is scheduled to go into
the Forgacs Cairncross Dockyard in Brisbane on Jan. 25-2009
Paul Gauguin, has announced the largest renovations in the ship’s 14-year history.
