July 2012 Antarctic Shipping S.A., owner and operator of the Antarctic Dream has announced it will suspend cruises to Antarctica. A statement released by the company states “The Antarctic Dream’s operating expenses and limited passenger capacity due to the vessel’s size have made it impractical for us to continue with our tours to the Antarctic regions.” Future of ship unknown. Oct. 2017  RPTD SOLD UNDISCLOSED INTEREST recent flag changed to Mongolia. It looks like a ghost ship does not find any recent news. After many years sailing around in the Mediterranean Sea and Middle East. In any case, no more operational as cruise ship.

July 23-2008 The small Chilean expedition ship ANTARCTIC DREAM (ex PILOTO PARDO) has run aground this morning east of Spitzbergen with 130 passengers on board. No damage to the ship has been reported and its passengers and crew are reportedly safe. Six hours later, it was able to continue on its way without serious damage.
