Costa Pacifica hits a pier in Marseilles today, leaving a 8-meter
hole in the side of the ship, although well above the waterline.
Engineers were able to weld steel plates over the gash, with strong
winds believed to have been the cause for the damage. No
passengers or crew were injured and the ship is expected to sail as
scheduled.
