HAL passengerships with prefix DAM

From the beginning all Holland-Amerika Lijn passenger ships got the prefix "DAM". The most common name used is Rotterdam. At the moment there is already no.6 that bear this name. After the take over by Carnival Corp.& Plc. is this tradition still in use

The ss. Nieuw-Amsterdam, build in 1938 the most beautiful passengers ship
of the HAL ever. Sold for scrap in 1973.
