Mein Schiff 6 is the fourth in a series of vessels built in Turku for the German cruise operator. It has 1,267 cabins, 82% with balconies. There are 13 restaurants and bistros, and 13 lounges and bars. Scrubbers are among the ship's environmental systems, and Meier said the company has decided to use this exhaust gas cleaning system continuously, not just in Emission Control Areas.
The nightclub Abtanz has been redesigned into a multifunctional space that can host lectures during the daytime. An escape room for team challenges is a new entertainment feature.The ship will be equipped with 1250 staterooms on 15 decks, most of them with private balcony. A new feature are the diamond suites, large family staterooms and three several suite categories. All staterooms are designed very bright, friendly and modern.
The main onboard language is German. The atmosphere is relaxed - similar to an upscale club hotel. Especially middle-aged guests feel very comfortable on board. The extensive wellness area features a large sea-view sauna and a steam-room. For an additional fee you can choose from the vast range of massages and "feel-good-treatments" or arrange a sports session with a personal trainer. Sporting excursions are also offered on board.
