Ship has a long history of owners and charters.
Aquired januari 2004 by Majestic International subsidiary Maximus Navigation after public action from defunct Olympia Cruises.
Following its acquisition by Majestic operated on charter to a French company as a floating hotel during the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Piraeus.
Charter to Travelplan/Globalia - Spain until autumn 2005.
From autumn 2005 long-term charter to Holiday Kreuzfahrten and re-named into LILI MARLEEN
Sept.21-2006 - Holiday Kreuzfahrten, operators of Mona Lisa and Lili Marleen, has ceased operations and is filing for bankruptcy. Ship is laid-up.  Nov.2006 ship changed into previous name. Charter to Louis Cruises, as Ruby. In 2008 summer on charter to Monarch Classic Cruises also subsidiary of Majestic International Cruises. In winter sailing South America for Travelplan. Name not changed.
From june 2009 until april 2010 on charter to Quail Cruises-Spain. Name changed in: NEW PACIFIC
From april 2010 until oct. 2012 on charter to Cruise & Maritime Voyage (CMV) Name changed in Ocean Countess again.


Aug.31-2012 Cruise & Maritime Voyage (CMV) will operate its last cruise of the 17,593 gross ton Ocean Countess in October, the company's website shows.Yesterday, CMV and All Leisure group unveiled a cooperation agreement, whereby the 20,636 gross ton Discovery will transfer to CMV under a long term contract in February 2013 after a major refit.


Nov.30-2013 The Ocean Countess was ablaze on Saturday, November 30, while laid up in Greece. According to reports, five workers onboard were safely evacuated and fire crews were working to put the fire out. The ship formerly sailed for Cunard Line, through the mid 1990s, and most recently was chartered to Cruise Maritime Voyages. Ocean Countess has been laid up since completing its seasonal charter for Cruise & Maritime Voyages in 2012. CMV had chartered the ship for the British market for three summers, starting in 2010
