On long term charter to OCEANA -Cruises a new founded Cruise company. New name: INSIGNIA.
RENAISSANCE CRUISES. De schepen van deze rederij hebben geen sprekende namen, doch worden alle aangeduid als R met een cijfer. Ze zijn alle identiek ca. 30.200 ton en geschikt voor 684 passagiers. Gebouwd bij Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Frankrijk in de jaren 1998 t/m 2001. In de vaart zijn de " R-1 t/m R-8 ". Na het faillissement van Renaissance Cruises zijn de schepen ondergebracht bij Cruiseinvest-Frankrijk, dit ivm. de grote financiele belangen van de Franse werf en overheid.
De meeste schepen varen inmiddels in charter of zijn verkocht.

RENAISSANCE CRUISES. Names of the Renaissance cruiseships are not very inventive. All the names start with R and a number. All ships are identical from size and capacity. In total are 8 ships in operation of this class.Gross tonnage 30.277 Passenger cap. 684. All ships are build at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in France between 1998 and 2001. After bankrupcy of Renaissance Cruises are the ships hand-over to the France Company Cruiseinvest due to the financial interest of the Builder and the France Governement.
Most of the ships are chartered or sold.
