Like sister Oasis - Allure and Harmony will be built around seven distinct neighborhoods and be chock full of dozens of eateries, bars, showrooms and deck-top fun zones. With the sisters measuring the same length how is the Symphony claiming the record "World "largest cruiseship? She will have Symphony has 28 more staterooms, 14 balconies and 14 interiors overlooking the boardwalk. a couple additional features, and the Solarium design has been changed 'quite a lot." The other main volume and weight difference is found on decks 14 and 15 in the Solarium which is much larger on Symphony and features a plunge pool with glass walls looking out to sea, plus a double storey fully air-conditioned space housing two eateries, Solarium Retreat and debut seafood restaurant Hooked, with full length outside glass walls offering expansive views.
Symphony’s North American master, Captain Rob Hempstead, who is preparing to take Symphony of her first sea trials, starting Thursday, says the newest ship in the fleet is ‘every bit an improvement on Harmony and will be smoother, can go faster using less energy, and provides all the latest tools to manage speed of data making it even more efficient. An other hallmark the Symphony has just 85 MW generating power down from 100 MW on the Allure.
In a new spin on the Boardwalk, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade, spanning the length of the neighborhood, will be a family magnet with more than 30 big-screen televisions, arcade games (video and vintage, like 'Pac-Man'), draft craft beers, wings and burgers. Playmakers and Sugar Beach, selling candy and ice cream, replace Sabor and Starbucks, with Starbucks moving to the Royal Promenade.
The Ultimate Family Suite sounds like a kid's dream come true, with a slide, floor-to-ceiling LEGO wall, air-hockey table and the surround-sound movie room with its own popcorn machine and a library of video games. The suite's 20 m2 wrap-around balcony offers a bumper pool table, a climbing experience and a full-size whirlpool. The two-bedroom suite sleeps up to eight.
