Dec.9-2019 P&O Cruises’ Ventura has been delayed in the Canary Islands following a reported power loss that required tugs to return the ship to Tenerife.Ventura had departed Tenerife, bound for Arrecife on Lanzarote, when it lost power and drifted until the tugs arrived. No injuries were reported. Due to condensation which had got into the electricals and in turn caused the main propulsion systems to be knocked out. However, the ship did still have the bow thrusters available. Expect four days delay in next cruise.

Oct.18-2012 Ventura has been seriously damaged during a recent Bay of Biscay crossing. The ship, currently on her way back to Southampton, hit bad weather last night whilst sailing through the notorious stretch of water and a rather large crack has now appeared in one of her higher decks.The gap seems to be at least 3 inches wide and passengers onboard say it runs the entire length of the deck with damage to the window pane on the deck below and the frame seeming out of place. Those onboard have stated the crack runs both vertically and horizontally.Passengers say the area has been sectioned off and passengers with balcony cabins on deck 14 have been told not to use their balconies.The damage seems to be around a weld however and not a weld directly.Ship arrived in Southampton Oct. 19.

Sept. 2012 Ventura will spend approximately 13 days in the German shipyard in spring 2013,between the cruise which returns to Southampton on March 22 and the following cruise which departs on April 7, 2013.18 New single cabins – in the same area as Azura adjacent to the Exchange bar and Fortunes casino.
